Chickasha Stearman Fly-In
May 4-5, 2007
Despite the less than favorable weather, the 2nd. Annual Dusters and Sprayers Stearman Fly-In went on as planned on May 4th. and 5th. at the Chickasha Municipal Airport.
Twelve Stearmans and various other aircraft flew in to participate in the activities. The Dusters and Sprayers staff hosted tours and an open house at the facilities and guests were treated to a pizza party on Friday night, a luncheon on Saturday, and a social on Saturday night featuring the big band sound of Moonlight Serenade from Oklahoma City. Once again the Stearman pilots graciously provided rides for attendees of the W&B Flying School Reunion. It was a great experience for those who had trained in the Stearmans during the 1940's.
Added to the program this year were the flour bombing and spot landing contests. Medals were presented to the winners of those events.
